Travel to Davis, CA & the UC Davis Campus
Air travel - Sacramento International Airport (SMF)
UC Davis is located near the Sacramento International (SMF). The Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is just over 20 miles (32 km) from UC Davis, which can take between 25 minutes to an hour, depending on the time of day and traffic. You will need to take ground transportation to Davis as there is no train or light rail from the airport.
There are several ground transportation options from the airport to your final destination, including hired vans and cars, rideshares and public transit via Yolo County bus. Please be aware that these options range in cost and convenience, and some need to be booked in advance, so do your research.

Train - Amtrak
The Amtrak Capitol Corridor route stops at the downtown Davis station located at 840 2nd Street. There is a UC Davis Unitrans bus Route A picks up passengers from the Amtrak Station.
Bus - Davis & Berkeley Intercampus Shuttle
The Intercampus Bus service provides transportation between the University of California Davis and Berkeley campuses for UCD/UCB faculty, staff and registered students.
Driving to Campus

- Davis is located at the intersection of Interstate 80 and State Route 113, just 11 mi (18 km) west of Sacramento, 70 mi (113 km) northeast of San Francisco.
- Driving Eastbound on I-80, we recommend you exit Richards Blvd, turn Right onto Richards Blvd, continue on 1st Street, Left on Old Davis Road, park in Visitor Parking Lot 5

Rideshare Drop Off
- The closest drop-off location to the Peter J Shields Library is the turn-out in front of Olsen Hall off Hutchinson Drive, where your driver can safely let you out of the vehicle. (Please note the Google Maps view is out of date and does not include the newly constructed turn out).

Parking Information and Tips
- Visitor parking lots #1 and #5, in addition to the Gateway Parking Structure and Quad Parking Structure, provide the most convenient access to the Peter J. Shields Library.
- We recommend parking in Visitor Lot #5 (shortest route) or the Quad Parking Structure (most direct route). These lots do not require use of the AggiePark mobile app. You can purchase parking by the hour at the COSMO permit dispensers.
- Please Note! UC Davis uses AggiePark, an app-based parking system that enables you to pay for parking from your smartphone or on your computer. Learn more about campus parking and sign up for the AggiePark system here.
- You can purchase daily parking with AggiePark for $15.
