Digital Images

This growing collection consists of images of Ottoman architectural monuments in the Balkan countries taken by Dutch scholar Machiel Kiel mostly from the 1960s through the 1990s. It is a project of the Netherlands Institute in Turkey (NIT). Currently it contains images from ten countries in Central and Southeastern Europe.

UC Davis has access to 4 Archivision Modules, all searchable as part of Artstor, or separately from the UC Davis Collections menu on Artstor.
Collectively, the first 3 collections, Base Collection, Module A and Module B cover Western Architecture from Ancient Egypt to the Twentieth Century.
The fourth module consists of 3000 photographs of Italian art.
