Create an Account

  1. Download and open the Canopy Speak app on your mobile device
  2. Click on 'Sign Up'
  3. Fill out the registration form
  4. Select your occupation (Nursing Student, Medical Student, etc.) and institution (UC Davis) 
  5. On your mobile device, download the Canopy Speak App and log in with your Canopy Speak username and password

App Description

Canopy Speak Smart Medical Phrases app contains over 5,000 pre-translated medical phrases in fifteen languages. It enables clinicians to communicate with patients who have limited proficiency in English for common, straightforward, routine clinical communication. It includes a one-touch call button to connect the provider directly to the facility’s over-the-phone interpreter (OPI) line. While this app is free, users must create a personal Canopy login.

Get Help

  1. In the app, click on the menu button in the top left corner
  2. Click on 'Settings'
  3. Scroll down to the 'Feedback' section and click 'Contact Canopy'
