Indicates the type of literature generated at different points in the publishing cycle (for example, patents, conference proceedings, technical reports) and the types of resources which assimilate this research into secondary literature (for example, encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks) and tertiary literature (library catalogs, guides to the literature).
