Get it at UC: Linking Tool

“Get it at UC” buttons are automatically embedded in most health sciences databases (such as CINAHL, Ovid MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, Scopus, Web of Science) enabling you to navigate to library-licensed full-text articles or to request items that are not immediately available online.

However, some databases require special steps to enable the “Get it a UC” links:

  • PubMed for UC Davis: Navigate via this special PubMed link for UC Davis, which is available on the UCD Library website and the UCDH Clinical Resources Center. We recommend that you bookmark it in your web browser! Note that the PubMed link obtained from a Google search will not enable you to see "Get it at UC" links.
  • Google Scholar: A few quick steps described here should update your Google Scholar account settings to enable “Get it at UC”.

Note: to be able to view article request options, you may need to log in to your library MyAccount (UCD CAS/Kerberos credentials).

Using "Get it at UC" video [approx 4 minutes]

The following video on how to use the “Get it at UC” system starts with article discovery in the CABI and PubMed databases and then moves into the integrated UC Library Search online catalog to demonstrate how to retrieve full-text articles available at UC Davis or place an article request.
